What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to abandonment of the unit and failure to pay rent. The Tenant was incarcerated and had not paid rent since December 2021. The Landlord had not been able to communicate with the Tenant since October 2021.

The tenancy is terminated due to abandonment by the Tenant. The Tenant is ordered to pay $186.00 to the Landlord for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay by July 30, 2022, interest will be charged at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance starting from July 31, 2022.
