What happened

Landlords applied for termination and eviction due to substantial interference and illegal acts, as well as compensation for damages. Tenant filed a counter-application alleging harassment and illegal entry by Landlords. Landlords discovered Tenant was using unit for short-term Airbnb rentals without consent, causing excessive damage.

The ruling

The Board dismissed the Tenant's application and the Landlords' termination application. The Tenant was ordered to pay $4,407.87 to the Landlords for undue damages and application filing costs. This amount includes compensation for damage to carpets, stove knobs, shower silicone, blinds, flooring, and painted surfaces.
