What happened
Landlord filed multiple applications against Tenant for non-payment of rent, substantial interference with reasonable enjoyment, wilful or negligent damage to premises, and persistent late payment of rent. Landlord also claimed compensation for each day Tenant remained in the unit after termination date and charges related to NSF cheques.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $32,186.00 by February 17, 2023. If not voided, the Tenant must vacate by February 17, 2023 and pay $29,038.60 plus $52.60 per day from February 2, 2023 until move-out. The Tenant is also ordered not to change or tamper with the locking device if the order is voided.
