What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent and the Landlord's good faith requirement of the rental unit for personal use. The parties consented to the order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 22, 2023. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $13,000 in rent arrears, $186 in application fees, and $39.45 per day in compensation from April 1, 2023 until the move-out date. If the full amount is not paid by June 30, 2023, the Tenant will owe 6% annual interest on the outstanding balance.
