What happened

Tenant applied for orders determining that Landlords collected or retained money illegally and harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with him and substantially interfered with his reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit. Tenant alleged Landlords verbally harassed him and threatened to evict him.

The ruling

The Landlords shall pay the Tenant $240 as rent abatement for substantially interfering with the Tenant's reasonable enjoyment and harassing the Tenant. The Landlords shall also pay the Tenant $50 for the cost of filing the application. However, the Tenant is not entitled to the last month's rent as he failed to provide valid notice to terminate the tenancy.
