What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. Landlord also applied to terminate tenancy and evict Tenant for substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 10, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $12,001.07 (less any payments made after November 5, 2021), which includes rent arrears, compensation, and application filing costs, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $36 per day for each day of occupation starting November 30, 2021 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 10, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
