What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant, serious impairment of the safety of any person in the residential complex, and the need for vacant possession of the rental unit to do major repairs or renovations.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 28, 2023. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement starting March 1, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $186 for the application filing fee.
