What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because they intend to do major repairs or renovations to the rental unit.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 1, 2022. The Landlords must pay the Tenants $2,900 by January 15, 2022 to help them move. The Landlords must also confirm they paid the Tenants the required $1,450 compensation or pay it by February 1, 2022.
