What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's Occupant (the Tenant's son) wilfully causing undue damage to the premises, using the rental unit or residential complex in a manner inconsistent with residential use and causing significant damage, committing illegal acts, and seriously impairing the safety of others.
The ruling
The Tenant's Occupant (son) seriously impaired the safety of others in the residential complex by tampering with the elevators. The Landlord is entitled to compensation of $4,749.46 for the reasonable costs incurred to repair the damage caused by the Occupant's actions, as well as $186.00 for the application filing fee. The Tenant is ordered not to permit her son into the residential complex, and if she fails to comply, the Landlord may apply for an eviction order without further notice.
