What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and for causing undue damage to the rental unit. The Tenants vacated the unit on January 7, 2021 prior to the hearing.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $2,655.89 in rent arrears, $9,009.76 in damage costs, and $201 in application fees. If the full amount is not paid by September 13, 2021, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
