What happened
Landlord applied for termination of tenancy and eviction due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payments. Tenant requested a review of the initial order, claiming inability to attend the first hearing due to personal circumstances. The review was granted, but the Board ultimately ruled in favor of the Landlord, terminating the tenancy and ordering the Tenant to pay arrears and vacate the unit.
The ruling
The Board terminated the tenancy effective July 7, 2018, ordering the Tenant to pay $3,272.64 in arrears and compensation up to June 25, 2018, plus $38.04 per day from June 26, 2018 until vacancy. The Tenant must also pay $190.00 for the application filing cost. If the unit is not vacated by July 6, 2018, the Landlord may file for enforcement with the Sheriff.
