What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet conditions specified in a mediated settlement issued by the Board on May 21, 2020. The Tenant was recorded smoking in the building, interfering with the fire protection system, and causing excessive noise, all of which violated the terms of the settlement.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 21, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $100 for unpaid damage compensation. If the Tenant does not pay by September 21, 2020, they will owe interest starting September 22, 2020. If the unit is not vacated by September 21, 2020, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
