What happened
Tenants applied for a rent reduction due to the discontinuance of parking privileges. The Tenants had been parking in the driveway without issue until the Landlord started using the upper unit for Airbnb and demanded the Tenants pay $350/month for parking or face towing.
The ruling
The Board ordered the Landlord to reduce the Tenants' rent by $125/month effective 2019-11-09 and to provide a rebate of $1,967.13 for excess rent charged. The Landlord was also ordered to pay the Tenants $50 for the application filing fee.
