What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants did not attend the hearing despite being adequately served with notice. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants void the order by paying the specified amount. If not paid, the Tenants must move out by July 11, 2022. The Tenants owe $8,877.78 plus $29.59 per day from June 21, 2022, until they vacate. If not paid by July 11, 2022, interest will accrue at 2% annually from July 12, 2022.
