What happened
Tenants applied for an order determining that the Landlord substantially interfered with their reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit and failed to meet maintenance obligations. The issues included a rotted bathroom floor, mold, a collapsing foundation, and a leaking roof.
The ruling
The Landlord shall pay the Tenants a total rent abatement of $1,520 for substantially interfering with their reasonable enjoyment and failing to meet maintenance obligations. The Landlord must pay the full amount by June 30, 2017, or interest will accrue.
