What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant, and because the Landlord has entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective March 31, 2020. The Landlord shall pay the Tenant $1,000 in resolution of all issues in dispute. If the unit is not vacated by March 31, 2020, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for eviction.
