What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before March 31, 2022. The Landlord provided the Tenant with the required compensation of one month's rent in the sum of $1,400.00. The Tenant's last month's rent deposit will be applied to the rent for March 2022. The Tenant is responsible for the rent for the months of December 2021, January 2022 and February 2022.
