What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 30, 2022. The Tenants must vacate the unit by this date and pay the Landlord $10,764 in compensation for use of the unit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by March 11, 2022, they will owe interest. If the unit is not vacated by April 30, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
