What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant did not pay the total rent the Tenant was required to pay for the period from March 1, 2021 to April 30, 2021. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on April 30, 2021.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $787.52 which represents the amount of rent owing up to April 30, 2021, minus the last month's rent deposit. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by October 18, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
