What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 28, 2021 unless the tenant pays $2,142.13 by that date to void the eviction order. The tenant must also pay $32.98 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $33.02 per day starting February 2, 2021 until the unit is vacated. If the tenant does not make the required payment, the landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
