What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The parties reached a proposed resolution agreement and agreed to an Order on Consent.
The ruling
The parties agreed to an Order on Consent. The Tenants are required to pay the Landlords $1,283.72, which includes rent arrears, unpaid utility costs, and application filing fees. The Tenants will pay new rent by the 20th of each month from October 2023 to September 2024 as a transitionary measure, and then pay new rent by the 1st of each month starting November 2024. If the Tenants fail to make any of the required payments, the Landlords may apply to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants.
