What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N8 notice with a termination date of December 31, 2019, but the Tenants continued to pay rent late after the notice was served.
The ruling
The Tenants will be required to pay rent on time and in full for the period of September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022. If the Tenants fail to make any one of the payments during this period, the Landlord may apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenants without a hearing or prior notice.
