What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.

The ruling

The Board ordered the Tenant to pay $3,256.00 to the Landlord according to a specified payment schedule. The Tenant must also pay new rent in full starting March 1, 2023. If the Tenant fails to make any payments, the Landlord may apply for an eviction order within 30 days of the breach.
