What happened
Landlord applied for an order to increase the rent above the guideline due to an extraordinary increase in municipal taxes and charges. Tenants raised maintenance issues in their submissions.
The ruling
The Landlord may increase the rents charged by 0.02% for the units set out in Schedule 1 within the time period of December 1, 2019 to November 30, 2020. This increase may be taken in addition to the annual guideline.
