What happened

Landlord applied for an order permitting the rent charged to be increased by more than the guideline for one or more of the rental units in the residential complex due to capital expenditures.

The ruling

The Landlord's application for an above guideline rent increase was granted. The Landlord may increase the rents charged by 0.70% above the guideline for capital expenditures related to asphalt & concrete sidewalk replacement and make-up air (MUA) unit replacement. The increase may be taken in addition to the annual guideline in effect on the increase date for each unit. The first effective date of the rent increase is February 1, 2020.
