What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's friends causing undue damage to the elevator and substantially interfering with the Landlord's lawful rights.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 30, 2016. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $515.11 for the elevator repair costs, $2,732.84 for compensation for use of the unit from February 27 to May 27, 2016, and $45.45 per day from May 28, 2016 until the Tenant moves out. The Tenant must also pay the $170 application fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by June 7, 2016, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
