What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord has entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of January 10, 2021. The Tenants shall vacate the unit on or before that date. The Tenants shall pay the Landlords $49.32 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from January 11, 2021 to the date they move out of the unit. If the Tenants do not pay the Landlords the full amount owing on or before January 10, 2021, they will owe simple interest calculated from January 11, 2021 at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding. If the unit is not vacated on or before January 10, 2021, then starting January 11, 2021, the Landlords may file this order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced.
