What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $11,600 in rent arrears and $190 in application fees by September 20, 2020. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by the due date, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. The tenancy is terminated effective September 30, 2020, and the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction if the Tenants do not vacate by that date.
