What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to allegations of illegal drug possession and trafficking, as well as removal of the smoke detector, which seriously impaired the safety of other tenants.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 31, 2021. The Tenants must vacate the unit by this date and pay the Landlord $5,715.50, which includes compensation for use of the unit, the application fee, and interest on the rent deposit. If the Tenants do not vacate or pay the full amount by May 31, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
