What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to allegations that the Tenant was running an Airbnb out of the subsidized rental unit, which is contrary to the Housing Services Act.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant was terminated as of August 16, 2020. The Tenant and any unauthorized occupants were ordered to vacate the rental unit by that date. If the unit was not vacated by May 31, 2020, the Landlord could have filed the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction.
