What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's refusal to allow the Landlord access to the rental unit for an annual fire inspection, which the Landlord alleges substantially interferes with the Landlord's lawful rights and seriously impairs the safety of other tenants in the building.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 3, 2022, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $37.15 per day for use of the unit from January 4, 2022 until the Tenant vacates, as well as $186 for the application filing fee. If the unit is not vacated by January 3, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
