What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing. The Landlord's representative requested additional time for the Tenant to vacate the rental unit.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 14, 2022. The Tenant must pay $8,880.70 for rent arrears and compensation, plus $88.77 per day from January 11, 2022 until move-out, and $201.00 for application filing costs. If not paid by January 21, 2022, interest will accrue at 2.00% annually. The Sheriff may enforce eviction from February 15, 2022 if the unit is not vacated.
