What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's large gatherings that violated COVID-19 restrictions, causing damage to the building's elevator, and seriously impairing the safety of others.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 23, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $4,651.39 for the damage to the building's elevator and $201 for the application fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 23, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
