What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants based on an agreement to terminate the tenancy. The initial order was issued without a hearing. Tenants filed a motion to set aside the order, which was heard in a videoconference. The parties reached a consent agreement during the hearing.
The ruling
The Landlord and Tenant Board denied the Tenants' motion to set aside the previous order but allowed a consent agreement between the parties. The tenancy will end on July 31, 2023. Tenants must pay outstanding rent and remove a deck they built. The Landlord agreed to waive June 2023 rent and apply the last month's rent deposit for July 2023.
