What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring the Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants had vacated the rental unit on March 31, 2021, without proper notice or agreement to terminate the tenancy early.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $4,400 in rent arrears and $201 for the application filing fee. If the full amount is not paid by February 1, 2022, the Tenants will owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
