What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlords' son.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective December 31, 2022. The Tenant must move out by that date. If the unit is not vacated by December 31, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement starting January 1, 2023. The Tenant shall continue to pay monthly rent for November and December 2022. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord compensation of $22.95 per day for the use of the unit starting January 1, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
