The ruling
The tenancy was terminated effective July 10, 2022. The tenants are ordered to pay $2,474 to the landlord, which includes rent arrears and the cost of filing the application, minus the rent deposit. If the tenants do not pay the full amount by March 31, 2023, they will start owing 5% annual interest on the outstanding balance.
