What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective June 30, 2024. The Tenant must move out by that date. If the unit is not vacated by June 30, 2024, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord compensation of $69.04 per day starting March 27, 2024 until the move-out date. The Landlord owes the Tenant $2,432.60 for the rent deposit and interest, which will be deducted from the amount owed by the Tenant.
