What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant causing undue damage to the premises. The Landlord also claimed compensation for the damage and for the Tenant remaining in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 24, 2022. The Tenant must move out by that date and pay the Landlord $650.00 for the cost of repairing the damage, $30.92 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from January 14, 2022 to the move-out date, and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 24, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
