What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant failed to pay rent from June 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective October 3, 2021. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 11, 2022, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the full amount owed. The Tenant must pay $3,663.72 for rent arrears and compensation, plus $33.76 per day starting February 1, 2022, and $186.00 for application costs. If the Tenant does not pay or move out by February 11, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
