What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant has not paid rent since December 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 21, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $170 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 21, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting September 22, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by September 21, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
