What happened

Tenants applied for an order determining that Landlords failed to meet their maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 or failed to comply with health, safety, housing or maintenance standards. The parties consented to the order in full satisfaction of all issues between them.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective April 5, 2020. The Landlords shall pay the Tenants $2,700.00 on or before March 16, 2021. If the Landlords do not pay the full amount owing on or before March 16, 2021, they will start to owe interest on any unpaid amounts beginning March 17, 2021 at a rate of 3.00% annually.
