What happened

Tenant applied for an order determining that Landlord has not repaired or maintained the rental unit or the residential complex, or has not complied with health, housing, or maintenance standards. The parties elected to participate in Board facilitated mediation and reached a consent order.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective April 30, 2023. The Landlord shall pay the Tenant $647.79 by May 20, 2023. If the Landlord fails to make the payment, the outstanding balance will accrue 6% annual interest. The Tenant has the right to collect the full amount owing or any balance outstanding. The order is a full and final settlement of all matters arising from the tenancy.
