What happened
Tenant applied for an order determining that Landlord harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with the Tenant; entered the rental unit illegally; altered the locking system on a door giving entry to the rental unit or residential complex without giving the Tenant replacement keys; substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex by the Tenant; and withheld or deliberately interfered with the reasonable supply of a vital service that the Landlord is obligated to supply under the tenancy agreement.
The ruling
The Landlord is ordered to pay the Tenant $900.00 for a rent abatement due to the Landlord's failure to provide adequate heat, illegal entries, harassment, and interference with the Tenant's reasonable enjoyment.
