What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant had been late in paying rent 8 out of 13 months between January 2019 and February 2020.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective November 7, 2020. The Tenant must move out by that date and pay the Landlords $1,088.56, which includes rent arrears, compensation for use of the unit, and the application filing fee, less the rent deposit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 7, 2020, they will owe interest starting November 8, 2020.
