What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on October 3, 2022, and the Landlord was seeking the arrears outstanding to that date.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $7,509.62, which includes rent arrears owed up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 5, 2023, they will start owing interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
