What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on June 30, 2022 and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from October 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $8,828.90, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application, minus the rent deposit and interest on the deposit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 22, 2022, they will start to owe interest at 4% annually on the outstanding balance.
