What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing despite proper service of notice. The Landlord's evidence was presented, and the Board determined that the Tenant owed significant rent arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified amount. The Tenant must pay $10,694.92 by January 31, 2023, or $12,106.66 by February 3, 2023, to void the order. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must pay $8,606.64 plus $46.41 per day from January 17, 2023, until they move out. The Tenant must vacate by February 3, 2023, if the order is not voided.
