What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent and the Tenant seriously impairing the safety of any person. The Tenant applied for an order determining that the Landlord substantially interfered with their reasonable enjoyment, harassed them, withheld or interfered with the reasonable supply of a vital service, and failed to meet the Landlord's maintenance obligations.

The ruling

The hearing was adjourned to a future date to be scheduled by the LTB. The Tenant is ordered to pay the ongoing rent by the 15th of each month until the matter is resolved. The parties are directed to exchange and submit any evidence they intend to rely on by November 30, 2023.
