What happened
Tenants applied for an order determining that the Landlord harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with them and substantially interfered with their reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex. The issue was related to the Tenant's support worker being restricted from accessing the rental unit.
The ruling
The Tribunal ordered that the Landlord shall permit Susan Kostic, at the request of the Tenants, to enter the Tenants' rental unit when her services as a personal support worker are necessary. The Landlord was also ordered to pay the Tenants $53.00 for the cost of filing the application by December 27, 2021, and if the Landlord does not pay by that date, the Tenants may recover the amount by deducting it from the January 2022 rent.
